29/09/2008 - Following the accident at Croft, Kennys arm this week swelled up and later in hospital was found to be infected. The Dr's are treating the infection but as such, Kenny will not be racing at Silverstone this weekend and is optimistically looking to be riding at the season Finale at Brands Hatch in a couple of weeks time. 14/09/08 -The team have just concluded the trip to Croft with an eventful weekend taking place. In Superbikes and the first free practice session, Kenny's engine (that was rebuilt and tuned following Cadwell Park) blew and forced a premature end to Kennys set up time after just 8 laps. The result is that Kenny was forced to use his Superstock bike in the 2nd free practice session and Kenny had to pull in early to get the bike into Scrutineering for Superstock 1st Qualifying. With the absence of Kennys 2nd Superstock bike that he uses for the British Superbike Cup, the weekend continued to prove challenging and Kenny qualified in 25th place and 7th out of the 8 Superbike Cup competitors. In Superstock Kenny went out in the first qualifying session and after just 4 laps, the rain started which meant that Kenny pulled in as the times would not be improved upon in the wet conditions leaving Kenny in 8th place. In qualifying 2 Kenny managed to improve on the time from the day before and place him to start from 7th on the grid. Unfortunately, at the close of the session, Kenny ran slightly wide and was ejected from his bike. The result was a visit to the medical centre and stitches in his elbow. During Superbike Warm Up, Kenny found he had lost a lot of mobility in his elbow and as such, decided to concentrate on Superstock and not risk damaging himself further in Superbikes. The Superstock Race on Sunday saw Kenny battle through the pain and discomfort and finish in a very credible 10th position which also sees Kenny remain 10th in the National Superstock Standings. Thank you to everyone for their support and Kenny looks forward to hosting the Shareholder day at Silverstone in 2 weeks time. 25/08/08 -Race day was upon us once again and due to the timing ofthe second Superbike being scheduled right before the Superstock, Kenny raced twice. In the first Superbike race, Kenny started from 25th and by lap 4 was comfortably in 18th. As the race progressed Kenny fought hard to keep this position despite strong competition from all angles and Kenny went on to bring the bike home in 18th and the 5th placed rider in the British Superbike Cup, a fantastic achievement on a stock bike! In Superstock, after slipping back to 7th on the first lap, Kenny was back into 6th position by the 3rd lap and despite a safety car midway through the race, he managed to bring his Kawasaki ZX-10R home in 6th which now sees Kenny in 10th place within the Championship standings. The team are very pleased with the weekend and would like to thank all the shareholders and supporters. 24/08/08 -Next stop for the team was Louth in Lincolnshire at the Cadwell Park circuit, a firm favourite with race fans. Yesterday evening saw the first of 2 qualifying sessions for National Superstock and Kenny finished the session 5th fastest, nearly a second faster than his qualification time last year and just under half a second off pole position. In the second Superstock session today, a mix of luck saw Kenny unable to string laps together to improve on the time set yesterday and Kenny will start the race from 6th position. In Superbike, Free Practice 3 was a damp session so the team used this as an opportunity to get a feel for a damp Cadwell track in case it rains tomorrow and also to set the bike up with a few more minor changes. In Superbike Qualifying Kenny was settling in to the session when an engine fault meant that Kenny was forced to pull into the pits. The problem resulted in Kenny falling outside the top 20 in the first of 3 sessions so Kenny will start tomorrow 25th on the grid and the 7th place Cup rider. 10/08/08 -The third day of Knockhill and a packed schedule for Kenny and the team. Following short runs in both warm ups for Superbike and Superstock, first race of the day was the National Superstock Championship race. From the start, Kenny lost a few positions due to getting clipped by another rider whilst pulling off the grid. Kenny remained comfortably in 4th position until the rider behind passed under yellow flags. Knowing a penalty would be imposed, Kenny held back and finished the race fourth across the line. Later, following a judicial meeting, Kenny was awarded his rightful 3rd place but unfortunately, not in time to take his place on his first Superstock Championship podium. What followed was mixed fortunes in both Superbike races. In a wet race 1, Kenny was in 4th place of the Cup riders chasing down 3rd after leading the Cup for a large portion of the race, unfortunately the front tyre slid off line putting him out of the race. In Race 2, Kenny was involved in a collision involving David Johnson and Tom Grant on Lap 10 and unfortunately was unable to restart. Overall, lots of positivity from the weekend and a strong showing in the Superbike class. Kenny returns to action at Cadwell Park on the 23rd-25th August Bank Holiday weekend.
